Seasoning Suggestions Using Herbs and Spices

Beef: Allspice, basil, bayleaf, caraway, curry, chives, cumin, dill weed, dry mustard, green pepper, garlic, grape jelly, mace, marjoram, fresh mushrooms, nutmeg, rosemary, onion, oregano, parsley, pepper, sage, savory, tarragon, tomato, thyme and wine.

Fish: Basil, bayleaf, curry powder, dillweed, dry mustard, ginger, green pepper, lemon juice, marjoram, fresh mushrooms, fresh ground pepper, paprika, parsley, sage, tarragon, thyme, tomato and wine.

Pork: Apple, applesauce, basil, chives, cloves, caraway, cinnamon, coriander, dillweed, dry mustard, garlic, marjoram, onion, rosemary, sage, tarragon, thyme and wine.

Poultry: Basil, chives, cranberry sauce, cloves, cumin, dillweed, garlic, green pepper, fresh mushrooms, mace, marjoram, nutmeg, onion, orange slices, oregano, paprika, parsley, pineapple, poultry seasoning, rosemary, saffron, sage, tarragon, thyme, turmeric and wine.

Veal: Apricots, basil, bayleaf, currant jelly, curry, ginger, marjoram, mushrooms, oregano, paprika

Lamb: Cloves, curry, dill weed, garlic, mace, mint, mint jelly, onion, oregano, parsley, pineapple, rosemary, tarragon, thyme

Eggs: Curry, dill weed, dry mustard, garlic, green pepper, jelly, fresh mushrooms, nutmeg, onion, paprika, parsley, rosemary, tarragon, tomato

Desserts: Allspice, anise, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, mace, nutmeg, other extracts, vanilla extracts

Spice Blend Recipe

5 tsp onion powder, 2 ½ tsp garlic powder, 2 ½ tsp paprika, 2 ½ tsp dry mustard,

1 ½ tsp thyme leaves (crushed), 1/2 tsp white pepper, 1/4 tsp celery seed.

Yields approximately 1/3 cup
