Try a Homemade Trail Mix This Summer!
A simple custom made trail mix can help you stay within your nutritional goals, while at the same time be tailored to your taste buds! On August 30th, celebrate trail mix day by creating a delicious, more personal version of the famous trail mix.
Trail Mix #1
Ingredients
1 cup pumpkin seeds
1 cup raw almonds
½ cup raisins
½ cup dried unsweetened cranberries
Directions
Combine all ingredients.
Trail Mix #2
Ingredients
¾ oz. unsalted pretzels
1 tbsp. walnuts
1 tbsp. sliced almonds
1 tbsp. golden raisins
1 tbsp. dried pineapple
Directions
Combine all ingredients.
Trail Mix #3
Ingredients
1 cup Whole Grain Chex or Multigrain Cheerios
1 cup air-popped popcorn
½ cup dried cranberries
½ cup unsalted peanuts
Directions
Combine all ingredients.
