Banana Bread
Serves 14
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
¾ cup whole wheat flour
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
2 egg whites
1 whole egg
3 small very ripe bananas, mashed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
3. In a medium bowl, beat egg whites and whole egg and combine mashed bananas, vanilla extract and applesauce. Mix well.
4. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture and mix until moistened.
5. Pour batter into an 8½ x 4½ x 2½-inch loaf pan coated with nonstick spray and bake for approximately 1 hour.

I just put it in the oven! Once I saw this delicious looking picture I knew that it would be something that my whole family would enjoy. This was a very easy recipe and my whole house smells amazing from it! My kids want to take some now!
