Vegetable Cheese Skewers

Vegetable Cheese skewersRecipe by Charna Sheinfeld, Nutrition Intern

Ingredients:

6 wooden skewers
1 pepper, cut into large chunks
1 cucumber, cut into large chunks
3-6 cherry tomatoes, either whole or cut in half
3 string cheeses, each divided into four parts (or use any other chunks of cheese of your choice)

Instructions: 

  1. Have children use the vegetable and cheese to make their own skewers.
  2. Each skewer should have 2 chunks of each vegetable and of the cheese, totaling half of one string cheese per skewer.

Serving Size: 1 skewer
